Former Bat

Former Bat, Captain Billy Southworth, Jr., son of the manager of the world's champion St. Louis National League Baseball team, climbing out of United States Bomber somewhere in England after piloting it on one of the first all-American air raids on Germany. Other members of the crew are Sgt Ward W. Kirkpatrick, Technical Sergeant Lucian W. Means, First Lieutenant Milton W. Conver, Second Lieutenant and Co-Pilot John W. Dillinger, and Sergeant Jack Belk.
