Lineage. Constituted as Air Base Squadron, 8 Air Base Group on 20 Nov 1940. Activated on 15 Jan 1941. Redesignated as: 7 Air Base Squadron on 17 Jan1941; 7 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 12 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 7 Mission Support Squadron, on 7 Mar 1989. Activated on 1 May 1989. Inactivated on 30 Sep 1993. Activated on 1 Oct 1993. Redesignated as 7 Force Support Squadron on 8 Jul 2008.
