Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1918-1940; Chief of Staff, Fourth Air Force, 1940-1941; Chief of Staff, Air Service Command, 1941-1942; Commanding General, Eleventh Air Force, 1942-1943; various command positions, 1943-1946. Retired January 1946. Died in Alamo, CA.
