Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1932-1953; Commander, 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, October-December 1953; Commander, 21st Air Division, December 1953-February 1954; Commander, Far East Air Forces Bomber Command, 1954; Director of Flight Safety Research, 1955-1960; USAF Deputy Inspector General for Safety, 1960-1963; Chief of Joint US Military Group in Spain, 1963; Assistant Chief of Staff for Mutual Security, 1964. Retired February 1964. Died 15 January 1995.
Personal papers related to Caldara's Air Force career. Includes a collection of newsclippings (1954-1968) and periodicals, including Fliqht Service Journal (September-October 1965), Propwash (January-February 1966) and Guidepost (July 1963).
