Served to grade of Sergeant, Signal Enlisted Reserve Corps, 1916-1917; commissioned First Lieutenant, Aviation Section, Signal Officer Reserve Corps, June 1917. Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1917-1941; Commanding General, Fifth Air Force Service Command, 1942-1944. Died 7 January 1946.
