Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1944-1968; Commander, 60th Military Airlift Wing, 1968-1970; Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, HQ Military Airlift Command, 1970-1971; successively Assistant Deputy and Deputy Chief of Staff, Programs and Resources, HQ USAF, 1971-1974; Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Air Forces, 1977-1978; Vice Chief of Staff, HQ USAF, 1978-1980. Retired February 1980.

Personal papers relating to Hill's Air Force career. Includes flight plans and records of Hill's aircraft while a member of the 389th Bomb Group, August-December 1944.
