Served to grade of Sergeant, National Guard (GA), 1912-1917; served to grade of Private First Class, Aviation Section, Signal Enlisted Reserve Corps, 1917-1918; commissioned First Lieutenant, Aviation Section, Signal Officer Reserve Corps, January 1918. Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1918-1942; Commanding Officer, II Air Support Command, 1942-1943; Commanding Officer, 1st Air Defense Wing (Provisional), 1945. Retired July 1953. Died in Clearwater, FL. Author of Aerial Photographs: Characteristics and Military Applications (1927).

Personal papers relating to Reeves' military service. Includes correspondence (1942-1949), materials from 1942 investigation by Reeves of various alleged fifth column activities, and various patents held by Reeves. Also includes some copies of Reeves' military records and some photographs relating to his military service.
