Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Aviation Section, Signal Officer Reserve Corps, November 1917; reappointed Captain, Air Corps, March 1942. Career assignments include: duty in Europe with 24th, 49th, 92nd, 9th and 213th Aero Squadrons, 1917-1919; recalled to active duty, March 1942; various staff duties, 35th Air Depot Group and 361st Air Service Group, 1942-1945. Died in Madigan Army Hospital, Tacoma, WA.

Personal papers relating to Schultz's service in WWI and WWII. Includes materials on the 213th Aero Squadron and some of Schultz's personal accounts of WWI combat experiences. Also includes copies of many personnel records and actions relating to Schultz's WWI duty, his efforts to regain his reserve commission (1940-1942), and various other personal materials (1930-1942).
