Lineage.    Constituted as 72 Tactical Control Flight on 24 Jun 1969.  Activated on 25 Jun 1969.   Inactivated on 31 Mar 1988.  Redesignated 72 Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron, and converted to provisional status, on 12 Feb 2009.

 

Assignments.   4465 Tactical Control Squadron, 25 Jun 1969; 726 Tactical Control Squadron, 15 Oct 1969; 507 Tactical Air Control Wing, 1 May 1977-31 Mar 1988.  Air Combat Command to activate or inactivate at any time on or after 12 Feb 2009.

 

Stations.   Homestead AFB, FL, 25 Jun 1969; Robins AFB, GA, 30 Mar 1972; Fort Monroe, VA, 30 Jun 1976-31 Mar 1988.
