Julius Alford enlisted into the Army on 15 Mar 1941 and was honorable discharged on 31 October 1941 in order to accept a commission in the Air Corps Reserve on 31 October 1941. He served as an active duty officer until 14 December 1946 when he was released back to the Air Force Reserve. Julius Alford served several additional tours of active duty prior to his retirement from the Air Force after achieving the rank of Lt. Col.

This collection from Lt. Col Julius E.
