Lineage. Constituted as Air Base Squadron, 38 Air Base Group on 20 Aug 1940. Activated on 25 Aug 1940. Redesignated as: 37 Air Base Squadron on 17 Jan 1941; 37 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 1 Mar 1944. Reconstituted, redesignated as 37 Air Base Squadron, and activated, on 7 Jul 1963. Organized on 8 Jul 1963. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 8 Jan 1965. Activated on 1 Nov 1971. Inactivated on 15 Nov 1974. Redesignated as 37 Mission Support Squadron, and activated, on 1 Jul 1993. Redesignated as 37 Force Support Squadron on 16 Jul 2009.
