Lineage. Constituted as 3 Floating Air Depot on 11 Mar 1944. Activated on 15 Mar 1944. Redesignated as 3 Aircraft Repair Unit (Floating) on 29 May 1944. Inactivated on 2 Jan 1946. Disbanded on 8 Nov 1948. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 763 Maintenance Squadron, on 29 Jul 2003. Activated on 1 Oct 2003.
