Lineage. Constituted as 9 Periodic Maintenance Squadron on 4 Jun 1952. Activated on 16 Jun 1952. Redesignated as 9 Organizational Maintenance Squadron on 1 Oct 1958. Inactivated on 30 Apr 1992. Redesignated as 9 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron on 20 Aug 2002. Activated on 18 Sep 2002.
