Lineage. Constituted as 58 Station Complement Squadron on 15 May 1943. Activated on 20 May 1943. Disbanded on 15 Apr 1945. Reconstituted, redesignated as 58 Logistics Support Squadron, and activated, on 1 Oct 1991. Redesignated as 58 Maintenance Operations Squadron on 18 Jul 2002.

Assignments. Third Air Force, 20 May 1943; VIII Bomber Command, 15 Sep 1943; 2 Bombardment Division, 22 Feb 1944-15 Apr 1945. 58 Logistics (later, 58 Maintenance) Group, 1 Oct 1991-.
