Redesignated as: 1979 Communications Squadron on 1 Jul 1961; 1979 Information Systems Squadron on 1 Oct 1984; 1979 Communications Squadron on 1 Nov 1986. Inactivated on 1 May 1991. Redesignated as 673 Communications Squadron on 14 Dec 2009. Activated on 24 Jun 2010.
