Lineage. Constituted as 822 Combat Security Police Squadron, and activated, on 22 Mar 1968. Organized on 15 Apr 1968. Inactivated on 31 Dec 1969. Redesignated as: 822 Security Police Squadron on 12 Oct 1984; 822 Security Forces Squadron on 8 Sep 2000. Activated on 12 Sep 2000. Redesignated as 822 Base Defense Squadron on 30 Sep 2010.
