Lineage. Constituted as 8 Missile Warning Squadron on 26 Mar 1986. Activated on 1 Apr 1986. Redesignated as 8 Space Warning Squadron on 15 May 1992. Inactivated on 30 Sep 1995. Redesignated as 8 Space Operations Squadron on 22 Aug 1997. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Sep 1997. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1998. Redesignated as 8 Space Warning Squadron on 30 Jul 1999. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 1999.
