Inactivated on 28 Jul 1948. Disbanded on 8 Oct 1948. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 3 Logistics Support Squadron, on 1 Dec 1991. Activated on 19 Dec 1991. Redesignated as 3 Maintenance Operations Squadron on 30 Sep 2002.
