Lineage. Constituted as 22 Food Service Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, on 28 Jul 1948. Activated on 1 Aug 1948. Redesignated as 22 Food Service Squadron on 16 Mar 1950. Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952. Activated on 30 Mar 1960. Organized on 15 Sep 1960. Redesignated as 22 Services Squadron on 1 Oct 1965. Inactivated on 1 Mar 1970. Activated on 1 Oct 1979. Redesignated as: 22 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 1 Jul 1992; 22 Services Squadron on 1 Jan 1994; 22 Force Support Squadron on 11 Jul 2008.
