Lineage.   Constituted as Third Weather Squadron on 24 Jun 1937.  Activated on 1 Jul 1937.  Redesignated as: 3 Weather Squadron, Regional, on 16 Jun 1942; 3 Weather Squadron on 1 Nov 1943.  Disbanded on 7 Sep 1944.  Reconstituted as 3 Weather Squadron on 10 Aug 1951.  Activated on 5 Sep 1951.  Inactivated on 30 Jun 1972.   Activated on 1 Jan 1975.  Inactivated on 30 Sep 1991.  Activated on 1 Jul 1994.
