Lineage.    Established as USAF Hospital, Bitburg, on 14 Apr 1971.   Activated on 1 Jul 1971.   Redesignated as: 36 Tactical Fighter Wing Hospital on 1 Sep 1988; 36 Medical Group on 31 Mar 1992.  Inactivated on 1 Jul 1994.   Activated on 1 Oct 1994.
