Redesignated as: 3 Photographic Reconnaissance and Mapping Group on 19 May 1943; 3 Photographic Group, Reconnaissance on 13 Nov 1943; 3 Reconnaissance Group on 13 May 1945. Inactivated on 12 Sep 1945. Disestablished on 6 Mar 1947. Reestablished, and redesignated as 543 Tactical Intelligence Group, on 31 Jul 1985. Redesignated as 543 Intelligence Group on 22 Jan 1997. Activated on 1 Mar 1997. Consolidated (10 Feb 2005) with the 543 Tactical Support Group which was constituted on 19 Sep 1950. Activated on 26 Sep 1950. Inactivated on 25 Feb 1951. Consolidated organization retained designation of 543 Intelligence Group. Redesignated as 543 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group on 1 Jan 2009.
