Lineage. Constituted 12 Airdrome Squadron on 28 Dec 1942. Activated on 7 Jan 1943. Inactivated on 20 Aug 1948. Disbanded on 8 Oct 1948. Consolidated (15 Dec 1991) with the 12 Student Squadron, which was constituted on 22 Mar 1972. Activated on 1 May 1972. Redesignated 12 Operations Support Squadron on 15 Dec 1991.
