Lineage.  Established as 424 Air Service Group on 22 Nov 1944.  Activated on 15 Apr 1945.  Disbanded on 28 Aug 1945.  Reconstituted, and redesignated as 424 Air Base Squadron, on 27 May 1994.  Activated on 1 Jul 1994.  Inactivated on 12 May 2005.  Activated on 12 Oct 2012. 

Assignments.  Third Air Division, 15 Apr-28 Aug 1945.  603 Regional Support Group, 1 Jul 1994; 100 Air Refueling Wing, 19 Jul 1996; 420 Air Base Group, 14 Jan 2004-12 May 2005.  86 Operations Group, 12 Oct 2012-.
