21 Communications Squadron (SpOC)

Lineage.  Constituted as 21 Communications Squadron on 15 Nov 1952.  Activated on 1 Jan 1953.  Inactivated on 8 Feb 1958.  Consolidated (1 May 1992) with the 2163 Communications Squadron, which was designated and activated on 1 Oct 1979.  Redesignated as: 2163 Information Systems Squadron on 1 Jul 1985; 2163 Communications Squadron on 1 Nov 1986; 2163 Communications Group on 1 Dec 1987; 21 Communications Squadron on 15 May 1992; 21 Space Communications Squadron on 30 Jun 2003; 21 Communications Squadron on 15 May 2008.  Changed status from a unit of United States Air Force armed force to a unit of United States Space Force armed force on 15 Jul 2021.
