16 Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron (SpOC)

Lineage.  Constituted as 16 Surveillance Squadron, and activated, on 1 Nov 1966.  Organized on 1 Jan 1967.  Redesignated as 16 Space Surveillance Squadron on 15 May 1992.  Inactivated on 1 Oct 1994.  Redesignated as 16 Space Control Squadron on 4 May 2007.  Activated on 16 May 2007.  Changed status from a unit of United States Air Force armed force to a unit of United States Space Force armed force on 21 Oct 2020.  Redesignated as 16 Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron on 13 Apr 2022.
