Lineage.  Constituted as 301 Communications Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, on 28 May 1948.  Activated on 1 Aug 1948.  Redesignated as 301 Communications Squadron on 16 Mar 1950.  Inactivated on 10 Feb 1951.  Activated on 14 Feb 1952.  Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952.  Consolidated (1 Feb 1987) with the 301 Communications Flight, which was constituted on 17 Jun 1976.  Activated in the Reserve on 1 Jul 1976.  Redesignated as:  301 Information Systems Squadron on 10 Apr 1985; 301 Communications Squadron on 1 Feb 1987; 301 Communications Flight on 1 Aug 1992; 301 Communications Squadron on 1 Jan 2012.
