Lineage.  Constituted as 936 Aerial Port Flight, and activated, on 28 Apr 1964.  Organized in the Reserve on 8 Jul 1964.  Inactivated on 30 Jun 1974.  Redesignated as 36 Aerial Port Squadron on 13 Feb 1986. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 1986.
