Lineage.  Constituted as Materiel Squadron, 50 Air Base Group on 20 Nov 1940.  Activated on 2 Dec 1940.  Redesignated as: 65 Materiel Squadron on 17 Jan 1941; 65 Service Squadron on 14 Jul 1942; 65 Air Service Squadron on 15 Jul 1944; 65 Air Engineering Squadron on 1 Jun 1945.  Inactivated on 20 Aug 1948.  Disbanded on 8 Oct 1948.  Reconstituted and redesignated as 65 Air Base Squadron on 27 Mar 2019.  Activated on 13 Jun 2019.
