Lineage. Established as 5 Air Base Group, and activated, on 1 Sep 1936. Inactivated on 2 Apr 1946. Consolidated (17 Jan 2019) with the 5 Mission Support Group, which was established as 5 Air Base Group on 1 Jul 1949. Activated on 16 Jul 1949. Inactivated on 10 Feb 1951. Activated on 14 Feb 1952. Inactivated on 8 Apr 1959. Redesignated as 5 Support Group on 29 Aug 1991. Activated on 1 Sep 1991. Redesignated as 5 Mission Support Group on 3 Sep 2002.
