86 Maintenance Operations Squadron (USAFE)

Lineage.  Constituted as 86 Air Base Squadron (Special) on 6 Aug 1941.  Activated on 1 Aug 1941.  Redesignated as 86 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron, on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944.  Reconstituted, and redesignated, as 86 Air Base Squadron on 3 Jan 1952.  Activated on 1 Feb 1952.  Inactivated on 16 Feb 1953.  Redesignated as 86 Logistics Support Squadron and activated on 1 May 1991. Redesignated as 86 Maintenance Operations Squadron on 27 Sep 2002.
