Lineage.  Constituted as 819 Medical Group on 20 Aug 1958.  Activated on 1 Nov 1958.  Redesignated:  USAF Hospital, Dyess, on 1 Oct 1970; 96th Strategic Hospital on 1 Jul 1987; 96 Medical Group on 1 Sep 1991.  Inactivated on 1 Oct 1993.  Activated 15 Mar 1994.

Assignments.  96 Bombardment (later 96 Strategic Aerospace) Wing, 1 Nov 1958-1 Oct 1993.  Air Force Development Test Center (later, 96 Air Base Wing), 15 Mar 1994-.
