Lineage.  Constituted as 70 Airdrome Squadron on 25 Jan 1943.  Activated on 1 Feb 1943.  Redesignated as 70 Airdrome Squadron (Special) on 16 Apr 1943.  Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944.  Reconstituted, and redesignated as 70 Operations Support Squadron on 6 Apr 2005.  Activated on 1 May 2005.

 

Assignments.  Second Air Force, 1 Feb 1943-1 Apr 1944.  70 Operations Group, 1 May 2005; 70 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, 1 Jan 2009; 70 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing, 14 Jan 2009-.

 

Stations.  Salt Lake City, UT, 1 Feb 1943; Davis-Monthan Field, AZ, 5 Mar 1943; Army Air Base, Fairmont, NB, c. 3 Aug 1943; Army Air Base, Galveston, TX, 14 Sep 1943-1 Apr 1944.  Ft George G. Meade, MD, 1 May 2005-.
