Lineage.   Designated as Squadron C, 2 Airdrome Group, on 15 Oct 1947.  Organized on 5 Nov 1947.   Discontinued on 12 Jul 1948.  Consolidated (3 Oct 1984) with the 2 Installations Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, which was constituted on 28 May 1948.  Activated on 12 Jul 1948.  Redesignated as 2 Installations Squadron on 16 Mar 1950.  Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952.  Activated on 1 Aug 1959.  Redesignated as:  2 Civil Engineering Squadron on 1 Jul 1960; 2 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 Mar 1994. 


Assignments.   2 Airdrome (later, 2 Air Base) Group, 5 Nov 1947-16 Jun 1952.  2 Combat Support (later, 2 Support; 2 Mission Support) Group, 1 Aug 1959-.
