Lineage. Established as 1912 Information Systems Support Group, and activated, on 1 May 1985. Redesignated as: 1912 Computer Systems Group on 1 Nov 1986; Air Combat Command Computer Systems Squadron on 22 Jul 1994; Air Combat Command Communications Group on 1 Jul 1998; Air Combat Command Communications Support Squadron on 1 Mar 2011.

Assignments. Tactical Information Systems (later, Tactical Communications) Division, 1 May 1985; Tactical Air Command, 30 Nov 1990; Air Combat Command, 1 Jun 1992-.

Stations. Langley AFB, VA, 1 May 1985-.
