Lineage. Designated as 2143 Communications Squadron, and activated, on 1 Dec 1969. Redesignated as: 2143 Information Systems Squadron on 1 Oct 1984; 2143 Communications Squadron on 1 Nov 1986. Inactivated on 1 Jul 1991. Redesignated as 423 Communications Squadron on 16 Dec 2010. Activated on 15 Jan 2011.
