Lineage. Constituted as 44 Airdrome Squadron on 25 Jan 1943. Activated on 1 Feb 1943. Redesignated as 44 Airdrome Squadron (Special) on 16 Apr 1943. Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 44 Operations Support Squadron, on 29 Aug 1991. Activated on 1 Sep 1991. Inactivated on 1 Jul 1994. Redesignated as 44 Operations Support Flight on 7 Jan 2010. Activated on 1 Feb 2010.
