Lineage. Established as 934 Troop Carrier Group, Medium, and activated, on 15 Jan 1963. Organized in the Reserve on 11 Feb 1963. Redesignated: 934 Tactical Airlift Group on 1 Jul 1967; 934 Airlift Group on 1 Feb 1992; 934 Airlift Wing on 1 Oct 1994.

Deployed personnel and aircraft to participate in allied operations in the Gulf area and the Balkans, 1990 and later. Participated in numerous joint airborne training exercises and humanitarian airlifts.
