Old McCook Field
Old McCook Field, the original home of the present organization now known as Air Technical Service Command. Located on the border of the city of Dayton, the ground was leased and temporary buildings were erected for war purposes. It was not long before the field became too small for safe landing and take-off of bombers and for the great variety of experimental flight testing carried on by the organization based there.
