Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Coast Artillery Corps, June 1913 and served to grade of Major, 1913-1921; began duty in Air Service, November 1921. Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1921-1941; Commander, 16th Bomb Wing, 1941; Commander, V Air Support Command, 1941-1942; Executive Officer, Army Air Force Technical Training Command, 1942; Commanding General, 1st District Army Air Forces Technical Training Command, 1942-1943; Air Inspector, HQ USAAF, 1943-1948; Commander, McClellan AFB, CA, 1948-1952. Retired April 1952. Died in Jackson, LA
