Squadron D, 31 Airdrome Group (designated on 6 Nov 1947; organized on 20 Nov 1947; discontinued on 25 Aug 1948) and the 31 Food Service Squadron, Fighter, Jet (constituted on 15 Jun 1948; activated on 22 Aug 1948; redesignated 31 Food Service Squadron on 20 Jan 1950; inactivated on 1 Jul 1952) consolidated (10 Oct 1984) with 31 Services Squadron (constituted, and activated, on 9 Jun 1967; organized on 15 Jul 1967). Redesignated: 31 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 21 Apr 1992; 31 Services Squadron on Jan 1994. Inactivated 1 Apr 1994. Activated 1 Apr 1994. Redesignated 31 Force Support Squadron on 7 Jul 2008.
