509 Force Support Squadron (ACC)

Lineage. Squadron D, 509 Airdrome Group (designated on 3 Nov 1947; organized on 17 Nov 1947; discontinued on 1 Aug 1948) and the 509 Food Service Squadron (constituted as 509 Food Service Squadron, Bombardment, Medium on 2 Jul 1948; activated on 1 Aug 1948; redesignated 509 Food Service Squadron 16 Mar 1950; inactivated on 8 Aug 1952) are consolidated (10 Oct 1984) with the 509 Services Squadron (constituted, and activated, on 9 Nov 1967; organized on 2 Jan 1968; inactivated on 1 Mar 1970; activated 1 Oct 1979). Inactivated on 30 Sep 1990. Redesignated 509 Morale, Recreation and Services Squadron, and activated, on 1 Jul 1993. Redesignated: 509 Services Squadron on 1 Jan 1994; 509 Force Support Squadron on 25 Jun 2008.
