11 Force Support Squadron (USAF)

Lineage.  Constituted as Air Base Squadron, 12 Air Base Group, (Special) and activated on 1 Sep 1940.  Redesignated as: 11 Air Base Squadron (Special) on 17 Jan 1941; 11 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 13 Jun 1942.  Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944.  Reconstituted, and consolidated (15 Jul 1994) with 1100 Mission Support Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 11 Mar 1992.  Redesignated as: 11 Mission Support Squadron on 15 Jul 1994; 11 Force Support Squadron on 1 Oct 2010.      

Assignments.  12 Air Base Group, 1 Sep 1940; Army Air Force Advanced Flying School, 27 Jun 1942; Air Service Command, 26 Jan 1943-1 Apr 1944.  1100 Air Base (later, 11 Support; 11 Mission Support) Group, 11 Mar 1992-.

Stations.  Kelly Field, TX, 1 Sep 1940-1 Apr 1944.  Bolling AFB, DC, 11 Mar 1992; Andrews AFB (later, Joint Base Andrews), MD, 1 Oct 2010-.
