Lineage. Constituted as 423 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron (Reduced) on 22 May 1942. Activated on 1 Oct 1942. Disbanded on 10 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 423 Services Squadron, on 31 Jul 1985. Activated on 12 May 2005. Redesignated as 423 Force Support Squadron on 15 Jan 2011.
