Lineage. Constituted as 916 Air Engineering Squadron on 8 May 1945. Activated on 1 Jun 1945. Inactivated on 7 Nov 1945. Disbanded on 8 Oct 1948. Reconstituted , redesignated as 916 Aircraft Generation Squadron, and activated in the Reserve on 1 Apr 1995. Redesignated as 916 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron on 1 Oct 2002.
