Lineage. Constituted as 916 Guard Squadron on 1 Aug 1942. Activated on 15 Aug 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, redesignated as 916 Security Police Flight, and activated in the Reserve, on 1 Oct 1988. Redesignated as: 916 Security Police Squadron on 1 Oct 1992; 916 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.
