86 Maintenance Group (USAFE)


Lineage.  Established as 86 Maintenance and Supply Group, and activated, on 1 Jul 1948.  Inactivated on 11 May 1953.  Disestablished on 27 Sep 1984.  Reestablished, redesignated as 86 Logistics Group, and activated, on 1 May 1991.  Redesignated as 86 Maintenance Group on 27 Sep 2002.        

Assignments.  86 Fighter (later, 86 Fighter-Bomber) Wing, 1 Jul 1948-11 May 1953.  86 Fighter Wing (later, 86 Wing; 86 Airlift Wing), 1 May 1991-.   


Stations.  Neubiberg AB, Germany, 1 Jul 1948; Landstuhl AB, Germany, 30 Dec 1952-11 May 1953.  Ramstein AB, Germany, 1 May 1991-.
